Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave Dagda World Map
Leave Dagsion’s walls—towns, skirmishes, Hero abilities, and the cost of every step.
Navigating Dagda
Outside Dagsion, Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave opens a navigable world map of the Dagdan Empire. Official Beyond Dagsion guidance is blunt: visit towns for local wares, information, and skirmish experience; use each of the four Heroes’ unique field abilities; find dungeons; and remember that time passes whenever you move. This page is the map companion to the World Hub and Calendar.
Art reference on this wiki uses the official-style world map asset. Node-by-node names beyond marketed regions remain incomplete before September 17, 2026.
Why the map exists
Heroic Games matches alone will not gear an army. The map supplies:
- Regional shops with goods you may not see in the capital arcade
- Intel that changes deployments
- Skirmish EXP for backup units chasing Certification Exams
- Dungeon entrances for materials and treasures
- Narrative space for Cai, Dietrich, Theodora, and Leda field stories
Later crisis chapters against Balor—with Eshmel guided by Sothis—likely reuse or reinterpret this geography; treat present-day vs Games-era map differences as unknown.
Time economy on the road
Every step is a calendar spend. Practical rules of thumb (pre-release):
- Set a hard return-by date before leaving Dagsion.
- Chain towns along a path instead of star-pattern backtracking.
- Prefer mounted movement fantasies (Ornius, cavalry Advanced) when the week is tight—pending final move costs.
- Skip optional skirmishes if tomorrow is a bracket final.
- Enter dungeons only with inventory goals, not boredom.
Fortuna’s battle rewind does not refund map days. Plan like Ironman scheduling even if you soft-reset fights.
Towns and skirmishes
Towns are multi-tools: buy local wares, gather information, and fight skirmishes. Skirmishes keep secondary units close enough to pass Specialty and Advanced exams described on Advanced Classes. Information should feed Arena spectating back home—map intel and stadium intel stack.
Named places already public elsewhere include Ribeira (Cai) and Saramis (Theodora’s kingdom). How they appear as map nodes is not fully charted here; we will expand after launch without inventing pins.
Hero unique field abilities
Nintendo states that while on the world map, each of the four Heroes can use abilities unique to them. Exact effects are only partially shown across trailers—expect mobility, scouting, or encounter manipulators in the spirit of route identity:
- Cai — village-rooted hero; field tools may favor safe travel or ally support (unconfirmed).
- Dietrich — battle-seeking survivor; aggressive encounter tools are a reasonable speculation only.
- Theodora — royal commander; army-wide or authority-themed field skills are plausible, not proven.
- Leda — revenge-driven musician; detection or lure effects are fan hypotheses until listed.
We keep abilities vague on purpose. Check Characters and Direct Summaries when move lists drop.
Combat identity in field fights
World skirmishes still use class weapons—swords, spears, axes, bows, gauntlets (including firearm-like gauntlets), magic—and care about positioning, terrain, Combat Arts, Gambits, Crests, and Relics. Heroes can still Blaze Art into midpoint power or catastrophic Burst. Read Combat before treating field fights as disposable.
Class choice changes how painful travel weeks feel: fliers ignore some geometry; armored lines crawl; chariots want open approaches. See Classes.
Linking map loops to exams and Blessings
Ideal loop:
- Leave Dagsion with a shopping list (ores, tomes, repair funds).
- Hit two towns + one dungeon entrance.
- Return for Temple Row Blessings and an exam attempt.
- Scout Arena, then match day.
Guides will eventually publish chapter-specific loops; Tools can hold your personal route checklist.
Strategic layers teased by the story
The Games celebrate Dagda under Solel’s wish prize, but the map also foreshadows continental war. Crests and Hero’s Relics—plus Sothis’s presence—tease Three Houses connective tissue without a confirmed timeline. Do not draw headcanon borders on fan maps and expect wiki endorsement.
Pre-release uncertainty
- Full node list and fog-of-war rules unknown
- Whether ships, deserts, or flying-only lanes exist unknown
- Shared vs per-Hero map progress unclear
- Post-timeskip map damage from Balor unshown

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers grounded in what Nintendo has revealed so far.
Can you freely explore Dagda?
You can travel the world map, but time passes with movement. Free roaming still costs calendar days needed for matches and quests.
What do towns offer?
Local wares, information, and skirmish battles for experience, per official Direct descriptions.
Do Heroes have world-map skills?
Yes. Each of the four Heroes can use unique abilities while on the world map. Exact effect lists are still incomplete pre-release.
Are dungeons on the world map?
Yes. Dungeon entrances appear outside Dagsion for materials, treasures, and clash battles.
Should I explore before every match?
Only if your return trip fits the calendar. Under-prepared travel can cost a bracket more than missed loot helps.
Where do I learn hub activities instead?
See the Dagsion page for Arena, Temple Row, shops, exams, inns, quests, and recruitment.
