How Recruitment Works in Fortune’s Weave
Recruiting characters in Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave requires balancing multiple systems: Support levels, global Renown, Paralogue completion, and additional requirements.
Core Recruitment Systems
Support Level
Support Level measures the bond between your chosen Hero and another character. The best methods for raising Support are giving gifts, shared meals, and stage shows.
Support levels are cumulative across your save file, not route-specific.
Renown Level
Renown is a global value that increases as you complete main missions, subquests, Paralogues, and hold audiences with the Gods.
Paralogue Completion
Some characters only become available after completing a specific Paralogue.
Additional Requirements
Beyond Support, Renown, and Paralogue completion, some characters require specific items, monetary payment, quest completion, coin flips, or dialogue choices.
Automatic Recruits by Route
Cai joins automatically on Cai’s route. Dietrich joins automatically on Dietrich’s route. Theodora joins automatically on Theodora’s route. Leda joins automatically on Leda’s route.
Full Recruitment Requirements
Support characters require Support Level, Renown, and additional requirements specific to each character.
Tialla: Cai route is automatic. Other routes require 3S, Renown 5-10, and Paralogue completion.
Diego: Available on all routes with approximately 3S and completion of Orchel’s Paralogue.
Gaitz: Dietrich route only, requires 3S, Renown 10, and completion of Bertrand’s Paralogue.
Part II and Part III Automatic Joins
Bertrand joins as a guest in Part II, then as a full unit in Part III. Orchel, Talimun, and Anatolia join automatically in Part III: Salvation First Section.
